The free in-home water test is how every Softstone job starts. You get real numbers about your own water and a clear recommendation, whether or not you buy anything.
What happens during the visit
30–45 minutes, that's it
We come when it's convenient. No all-evening kitchen-table demo.
We test at your tap
Hardness and the basics on city water. On wells we look wider and recommend a certified lab when results warrant it.
We look at the install spot
Usually a basement or utility area. We check drain, power, and the main line so the quote is real.
You get a straight answer
Whether the standard package fits, what add-ons (if any) your water calls for, and what it costs.
What we won't do
- No scary demonstrations meant to rattle you.
- No "today only" pricing. Our price is published and stays published.
- No health claims. We talk about taste, odor, hardness, scale, and spotting.
- No pressure to add anything your water doesn't call for.
